Just trying this blog thing out. I've just gotten back from Austin, TX from a Christian Students and Christians on Campus staff and involved students and families workshop (whew, that was a long title!). And I enjoyed it so much! Praise the Lord for the homes of the believers! Our needs can be met in the homes, we can be supplied and strengthened in the homes, we can be encouraged in the homes, we can be related in the homes! I just enjoyed the homes! In a larger group, it's hard to bring something up for prayer. But in the homes, in the small groups of 3-5, there is the atmosphere for care and love!
We've had freshman orientation all summer long so far and it's so good to be out representing Christians Students and talking to freshman! Lord, gain freshman this semester and meet their needs in the homes!
Amen! That's awesome! This summer at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC), they are having their orientations (Roo Fair), where all the organizations on campus can come and be represented, so we have had a table there everytime so far and we have handed out 56 bibles, and have signed up 39 people for our weekly bible study that we are starting up in the fall! So be praying for the move on the UMKC campus!!!
